| This is an introduction to Information
systems and technology for People who are or will
be managers, entrepreneurs, community leaders and
business professionals in today’s E-world enterprises.
The goal of this training is to help partcipants learn
how to use and manage information to revitalize management
processes, improve decision making and gain competitive
advantages.
This training is not academically oriented but focused
to ensuring that participants are well equipped with
practical Knowledge to basic or elementary use of
the computer tools in effective communication. Rapid
advancement in ICT is changing society, the Globalization
of economies and use of Internet / Email in form of
facsimile are very recent achievement, yet they have
influenced communication greatly. This therefore leaves
leaders of your calibre with no option but to learn
the use of computer as a major tool to effective communications.
This training, however short as it may appear, could
be the turning point in your way to the diverse world
of Electronic communications management, a “strategic
Inflection Point”.

Danish Performance Team (NDPT) |

The
National Danish Performance team toured the country
and more specifically the region. The had a series
of performances on the Jomo Kenyatta Grounds as from
the 18th of March 2006.

Jomo Kenyatta Grounds, a park rehabilitated
in 2001 with generous financial support from
the Swedish International Development Corporation
Agency (Sida), is a community information and
recreational center that enables residents of
Kisumu and visitors to the lakeside town.
This year, the Grounds once again was host
to the international women's Day Celebrations
Among those present were, KEFEADO, YEAG, CDC
Global AIDS Program (Care & Support), Safe
Water and Aids Project (SWAP), Tuungane Project,
Pandpieri Catholic Center, Women Concern center
, YWCA, WIFIP, and Practical Action.

The Communication Strategy for
Jomo Kenyatta Grounds is an outcome of consultations
for development of a planned system that enhances
management of stakeholders’ dialogue in
pursuit of the vision of evolving Jomo Kenyatta
Grounds, a community information and recreational
center in Kisumu, into the melting pot of ideas,
culture and heritage for the people of Kisumu
and the entire Lake Victoria region.The strategy
identifies the following as the wider critical
communication problems in the spheres of development
work
